Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it — for example, when you submit a contact form, apply to mentor, request support, or sign up to volunteer. This may include your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share in message fields. We do not collect sensitive personal data or payment information directly; donations are processed through Zeffy, which has its own privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, connect you with relevant programs and volunteer opportunities, send ministry updates if you have opted in, and improve our services. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to understand how visitors navigate our pages. This data is aggregated and anonymous — it does not identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Data Retention

We retain contact and inquiry information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us directly.

Third-Party Services

Our website links to third-party platforms including Zeffy (donation processing) and Facebook. When you leave our site, this privacy policy no longer applies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@anhourofhope.org. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

We are deeply committed to the safety and privacy of minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through our website. If a parent or guardian believes we have inadvertently collected information from a minor under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
